NeighborLink Miami Valley OH
Small things change neighborhoods.
Since 2020, our mission around the Miami Valley has been: to provide practical expressions of God’s love to our neighbors in need.
Our Mission
Christ’s love for us compels us to love Him; His love for people motivates us to love our neighbors well. By serving others, we believe we are fulfilling this mission as Christ intended.
Today, NeighborLink stewards across the United States create a unified network of neighbors helping neighbors, regardless of where they live or what they look like.
You can use this platform to safely link up with local neighbors in need. From basic tasks, such as yard work and snow removal, to more skilled projects, like wheelchair ramps or plumbing needs, our goal is to make loving our neighbors as simple as possible.

NeighborLink is the next step of what we started with LoveMonkey Ministries. I am so excited that we now have the technology to manage all our projects, volunteers, and client’s needs in one central location. It will help us expand our reach to new services, new volunteers, and new communities.

A previous experience with a church group exposed me to the magnitude of needs people have . . . many of which are not addressed by traditional social services and therefore go unmet. My excitement with NeighborLink Miami Valley centers on its potential to connect those who have unmet needs with those who have the desired and skill sets to meet those needs.

NeighborLink Miami Valley is an exciting opportunity for those in the Miami Valley who would like to serve those in need with their time, service, and fellowship to do so. It is exciting to see this faith-based organization come to the Miami Valley, and I am happy to be associated with the team working to make this a reality.

I am excited to be a part of the NeighborLink Miami Valley because it gives everyone a chance to be a part of a generous lifestyle. We live in a very generous community and many folks want to give. Giving of your time and your ability is something that is perhaps more valuable than money and it’s something we all have to give. Having a chance to grow more generosity in our communities is very exciting!

Project #44973: Snow Removal
I need snow cleared from my driveway all the way through the ridge of snow pushed up be the city snow plow. About 8/10 inches deep. Driveway size is about 1.5 car widths wide by 2.5 car lengths long into the street. I am 75 years old and do not have the energy or balance to remove that much snow. I did try to remove some snow. I spend several days trying to clear snow from in front of my door and started to make a partial path to the street. Time wise it is not an emergency, but I have been pinned in since the start of the storm. I usually use DoorDash several times a week. I did hit the donate button and made a $200 donation.

Project #42293: Home Improvement
Gary is a cancer patient and is currently in the hospital, he is to be discharged soon maybe 6-5 or 6/6, he is requesting that grab bars be installed in his bathroom prior to his discharge if possible. He is to have home healthcare but they are not able to provide this for him. I would contact Gary first, but his ex-wife, Heather Knight, is staying in his home to help care for him, so she can also be reached to set up a time to do this and her number is 352-457-2668 . Gary is very sick and physically unable to do this, and the grab bars would be very helpful for him when he returns home. If you have other questions or need more information you can call me (Cancer Care social worker, Cherry Thornburg) today before 2, here is my number 937-440-4711. I will be on vacation after 2 today and will not be back until Wednesday the 11th at 9 AM. My co worker Ashley Bierly can be contacted while I am gone at 937-569-7524. Thank you so much for helping Gary, they are so overwhelmed with his care and multiple tests, treatments so if you can assist them it would be so appreciated. If someone could email to share if you are able to assist too at [email protected], so I know that it was taken care of that would be great.

Project #41598: Plumbing
I am a social worker in a cancer facility in Troy, my patient is Gary, he is stage 4 cancer and cannot physically do much, he is very stubborn and will not ask for any help. His wife, Heather is trying to care for him taking him to several appointments for his care and physically (he has several medications and is on a feeding tube), as well as their 5 year old daughter. Heather is very overwhelmed and said they have a plumbing issue with a clogged drain, which is causing the basement to flood, she also is having to push mow their 1 1/2 acre property as she doesn't not know how to use a riding mower they have, so if someone could help with this too, that would save her a lot of time too. They do not have money to hire a plumber, as they are having difficulties paying bills due to his medical needs. If you could please let me know if this is something someone could help her with that would be wonderful. I put my email address on form as I don't know Heather's you can call her cell phone if needed or mine at 937-440-4711 I am here Mon-Thurs 9-2. Thanks so much for any help you can give Heather, she has no family to assist them.

Project #38022: Help Request - Yard Work
Hello. I'm Barbara. I wish I didn't have to ask for help. I'm going to be in big trouble if my landlord sees my yard. I have no one to help me. I am unable to do anything right now. I am quite ashamed. I have nice weed Wacker and new blower as well as cordless cutters for roses. So it's a very very small enclosed patio area. Grass must be weed wacked and blown and roses cut back. A person brought some grey stones over here I need taken to my dumpster. I have a wagon or a 2 wheel trolley w/ plastic bin that can be used to take them and any other debris around to my dumpster. I don't think it would take a couple people very long, maybe a long morning or afternoon. Maybe not that long. My caseworker encouraged me to reach out to you. I am embarrassed and sad. I have been ill, alone and in a terrible depression refusing to leave my home for months. I pray that I will be encouraged to once again enjoy my beautiful patio rocking chairs and watch my little dogs play. Thank you for your time. And please know that I don't answer the phone unless you text or leave a voicemail first just out of fear. Thank you. Barbara jones Tipp City
