Urgent Manufactured Home Underbelly Repair
During an inspection for storm-related repairs, a contractor discovered significant pre-existing deterioration underneath our manufactured home. The material supporting the insulation has deteriorated, insulation is failing, and visible mold is present.
The contractor recommends removing the deteriorated material and insulation, treating the affected areas for mold, replacing the insulation, adding supports approximately every four feet, and installing new underbelly material. The estimated cost is approximately $7,800.
Our homeowners insurance is separately covering the storm-related skirting repairs, so we are seeking assistance only with the newly discovered pre-existing underbelly and health-and-safety issues.
A written contractor estimate and photographs can be provided.
