NeighborLink Porter County IN
Small things change neighborhoods.
Since 2008, our mission has remained the same: to provide practical expressions of God’s love to our neighbors in need. Christ’s love for us compels us to love Him; His love for people motivates us to love our neighbors well. By serving others, we believe we are fulfilling this mission as Christ intended.
Our goal is to create a unified network of neighbors helping neighbors, regardless of where they live or what they look like.
You can use this platform to safely link up with local neighbors in need. From basic tasks, such as yard work and snow removal, to more skilled projects, like wheelchair ramps or plumbing needs, our goal is to make loving our neighbors as simple as possible.

Project #47476: Running Errands
I need help picking up a prescription from CVS Pharmacy located at 100 W State Rd 231, Crown Point, IN 46307. I don't have a car and no one available to drive me, and I'm unable to use rideshare services due to a severe, lifelong motion sickness condition. I would need the medication brought to my home. The prescription is already paid for/ready for pickup I just need someone to physically go to CVS, pick it up, and drop it off at my home. This is time-sensitive, as I am nearly out of a medication I take daily. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Project #46754: Tree Cleanup / Removal
Marvin is trying to get his home insured. The insurance company will not provide coverage until a few trees are trimmed around his home as they cause a risk for damage. Marvin is 88 years old, a veteran, and is not able to complete the work himself. His son is in the hospital with cancer. He is looking for someone who can assist with trimming the trees. He states that the trees could be trimmed by using a ladder but he is not capable of utilizing a ladder himself. He has a ladder that someone could use if needed. Toni Modglin, Executive Director at PCACS is completing this form on behalf of Marvin. He stopped in our office looking for support.

I don't know if this is the right program. But I and the wife, Seniors both retired on fix incomes. We have a bathtub shower combo, but have difficult times Bending our legs to get into shower over tub. It's a health and injury accident waiting to happen to us. I was wondering if we can get just a shower installed for us. With my Leg injury as a veteran and my wife's age and diabetes it's a matter of time before one of us gets hurt. Please help us make our tub shower into just a shower. Thank you so much.

Project #47303: Home Improvement
My back door knobs and frame are not functioning properly; they get stuck. I have tried to repair them numerous times, but I'm struggling to get it right. I need someone who understands how to repair them correctly. Additionally, I have two bedroom doors that need to be screwed in. One frame needs to be properly reinstalled, while the other door just needs to be put back up. I have all the necessary framework for the back door and bedroom doors, but I need help understanding how to ensure they are positioned correctly so that the door knobs work properly once they are installed.
