General encouragement from the church community. Matching funds, up to 70% of expenses, for person to person ministry. Additional financial support is unavailable until 2006. How would you choose to encourage them? Check one or more items. Show a general interest in them. Give or loan them helpful books you have enjoyed. Share words of encouragement and bible verses. Occasionally offer them matching funds for concert tickets. Send them a card or letter now and then. Send them a small gift or otherwise take notice of them on holidays or special occasions. Invite them to lunch two or three times a year. Assure them of your willingness to respond to an occasional request for things like essential transpiration or other minor items of service. Keep them up to date with photos of friends and church life. Keep in touch with them with occasional phone calls. Keep in touch with them by occasional email and digital photographs of friends and family. Occasionally offer them matching funds for a church retreat.
